Two weekends ago I had a dance competion. Well I actually had two but they were at the same place with only an hour or so in between them. I do jazz which is a mixture of ballet and hip hop. It has tech like ballet but with movements that are hip hop like. Anyways my first competition was a group dance to a remix of a song called ‘Mambo Italiano’ sung by Rosemay Clooney. We got second place for that dance so that was okay. The next dance was a duet with my friend Jeanne Mok. Our song is ‘Hung Up’ sung by Madonna. We got second place again for that dance which was disappointing because it was only by .5 points and we thought we did WAY better then them. It was okay though because we got a highscore award which is AMAZING considering that was our first time ever doing a duet. We were very happy… but mostly because we won a big trophy and $50!!

I got back from my trip to San Diego two Sundays ago. It was very fun. We went to Sea World, The San Diego Zoo, and The Wild Animal Park. I had a great time. The weather was much better thean i expected but for the last three days we were there, the sun was hiding behind clouds. On the very last day there was a lightning and thunder storm and it was pouring rain. It’s to watch Californians in the rain, they dont like it one bit. But who really does, I guess Vancouverites are just used to it.
They day we came home was quite interesting. I couldnt get a direct flight from San Diego to Vancouver so I had to transfer planes in San Francisco. I was scheduled to be in San Francisco (waiting for my flight home) for approx. 3 1/2 hours… well it turned out NOTHING like that! My plane in San Diego was delayed majorly so when my plane from San Diego to San Francisco was landing, my plane from San Francisco to Vancouver was boarding. Luckly the pilot let my mom and I off first so we could make our other flight. My mom told me to run as fast as I could to tell the pilot to wait for us. I ran through this HUGE airport faster than I’ve ever ran before! It was actually fun 
. Well I got there just in time; as the doors for boarding were closing and told them my mom was on her way. So we made it onto the plane 
which was good but we thought there could be no way the airport staff had transfered our luggage that fast. We assumed that it didnt make it onto our plane, but thats okay because they would’ve put it on the very next plane out to Vancouver and we could go pick it up at the Vancouver airport. We were fine with that… well my mom was fine with that. ALL my clothes were in that bag, and my hair straightener and everything. So if it had been gone I would’ve freaked out! Amazingly enough, our luggage made it onto our plane! That means the airport staff went out of their way, to make a special trip for only two bags, across the airport! That is basically impossible! Well it was my birthday that day so maybe I was having some good birthday luck 
. If that is the case, I can’t wait for my birthday luck next year 
. Hopefuly it will be as exhilarating as this years.

So I got my hair dyed yesterday and it looks better than I imagined! I was so excited when I saw it all finished. I texted a picture of it to Delaney Harrison and Danielle Porter. And they both loved it, Delaney said I look like a rock star… so I think that’s a good thing. Then on Saturday night I met up with Nick Camargo and Delaney. We went to Starbucks to just hangout and talk. It was fun. We saw Marwa Elgabry and she hang out with us for a little while. Yesterday was just so relaxing I wish I could go back.
Anyways today I had to work on my speech. Blah! Speeches are not fun to write or give. Well I REALLY wanted to do mine on ‘The Jonas Brothers’ but my language arts teacher (Mr. Christianson) said I couldn’t because he wouldn’t let me! So just to get back at him, I am doing my speech on ‘FREEDOM OF SPEECH’!! That will show him not to burst my bubble! LOL. Danielle is doing hers on Dyslexia, and she recited it to me on the phone. It sounded really good. I really hope I don’t mess up in front of my entire class. Oh well… I’m not really one for caring what other people think.

YYYYYAAAAAYYYYY!!!!! I got my letter back from Gleneagle Secondary! I am going to high school there next year and I applied for Honors Classes. I took exams for Math, Social Studies and English. I was quite sure I did good on the math exam but I wasn’t as sure about the other two. I just got a letter back today saying that I have been ACCEPTED!! I only got into Honors Math and English, but I did better than I thought i would. Tiana says I have written proof that I am officially a nerd but I think she is jealous that I’m a smartie. LOL
I have been in ‘Challenge’ for 4 years, so I already know that I’m good when it comes to school. Challenge is a program for gifted children, that basically means I was just born with the ability to comprehend knowledge and learn new things easily. Lucky me! I am still very excited that I am going to be in Honors classes because that looks good on job and University applications.

I am so excited because my mom said I could get my hair done before my spring break trip! I have blonde hair so I was going to get brown on the underneath layer, and then let the sun in San Diego give me natural highlights but the weather isn’t going to be nice. The highest temperature it gets to is going to be around 23˚C 
. That is hot compared to what it is going to be like in coquitlam at the time, but not what most people call warm weather. So anyways I am going to get the hairdresser to give me natural looking highlights. I am excited to get it done because I have never had my hair dyed before. I leave on not the next sunday, but the one after that. So I got to choose whether I wanted it done the the day before I leave (saturday), or this weekend. I chose this weekend, because I want all my friends to see it before my trip. I have an appointment for 1:30 on the 7th. That is 40 hours from now! OMG 
that seems like sooo long!

OMG 19 DAYS UNTIL MY BIRTHDAY!!! I am turning 14, which seems so old compared to my maturity level. I’m very excited. I’m going to be on a plane flight home on my actually birthday but I can always celebrate with friends the day after. I was hoping I could go out for dinner the night after with just a few friends. Like maybe Tiana Sheardown, Andrea Montalvo, Danielle Porter, Ally Mandley, Rayne Milne, Emily Madigan, Laura Dragon, Sara Seo and Nicole Chelowinski. So including me that would be 10 people. Thats a good amount. It wouldn’t be like a birthday party, for instance they wouldn’t have to give me any gifts. Just hang-out and wish me happy birthday. Thats all I really want.

On friday I went to see THE JONAS BROTHERS 3D CONCERT MOVIE. I went with Rayne, Tiana and Emily. It was soooo much fun !! We were singing at the top of our lungs and dancing in the theatre. And people were telling us to shut up but why would we? Its a ‘concert movie’ so your supposed to sing and dance. Well anyways it was awesome . And we got our picture with a life-size poster of them and told everyone at school that we met them. Some people actually believed us because Emily put fake signatures on our stomachs.
On saturday and sunday, my mom and I went shopping for clothes and stuff for our spring break trip. We’re going to San Diego. It is going to be lots of fun. I leave on the 15th of march and come back on the 22nd. I have to wait 13 days, even though it isn’t, it seems like a long time to wait.

This weekend was my moms birthday and we went out to dinner with her friend Jane, Jane’s husband, their son Michael, and his girlfriend Kaylee. My mom has been friends with Jane since they were 8 years old (over 50 years ago). I hope I can be friends with people for that long. I met Tiana when I was 8 so maybe it will be the same for us. Well anyways, I got my mom some flowers and a card. She loved it but I don’t think it was that great of a gift. Its just all I could afford. Tehe :p. Today is my Uncles Birthday so Im going to call him tonight and wish him a happy birthday !!! Woow lots of family birthdays this week.
Today I had basketball practice after school. Tiana decided not to go but Ally and I were going to. In the end Ally went and I didnt because I just was too tired. We have a game on Wednesday. Last game of the season before the tournament. We have lost ALL of our games so far. We really need to win this last one. The perfect team would be Nikki, Misato, Tiana, Ally and me. That would be AMAZING!!! We would do sooo good. It’s too bad Mr. Goring (our coach) would never put all of us on together. Probably because we’re the 5 best and then the other shifts wouldn’t have the best people, just kidding. Christine is getting pretty good and same with Dahee (spelling?), Alice, Elise and some other people.
